HE VISTO EL VERDE LLORAR,
DE LOS ÁRBOLES DEL BOSQUE,
DEL OSCURO IMPULSO COSQUE,
EN LEÑADORES TALAR.
He oído el azul gemir,
del océano con penas,
cuando dejan sus ballenas,
varadas solas morir.
He palpado el negro hollín,
esparcido en la pradera,
por industrias que a biosfera,
contaminan de festín.
He olfateado el smog gris,
que a ciudades envenena,
y a las aves desenfrena,
afixiando hasta extinguir.
He llorado rojo al ver,
sangre fresca de inocentes,
por bombas inteligentes,
en sus pechos fenecer.
He bebido al “Cruel” marrón,
cuando explota ruín mi pueblo,
presidiéndose de amueblo,
vil lacayo y fanfarrón.
He vestido el rubio manto,
en esta era sin conciencia,
que por grande con su ciencia,
solo crea más espanto.
He tomado el blanco trueno,
con la pluma de mi trazo,
cerscenando de zarpazo,
la injusticia por lo bueno.

REFLECTIVE
I’ve seen the green weep sore,
from forest trees so grand,
by woodmen’s cruel command,
their dark impulse explore.
I’ve heard the blue lament,
the ocean’s grieving sound,
as stranded whales are found,
alone to their end sent.
I’ve felt the black soot’s grime,
across the meadow spread,
by industries misled,
a biosphere’s dark crime.
I’ve smelled the gray smog’s sting,
that poisons city air,
and birds beyond compare,
to silent death it brings.
I’ve wept red tears to see,
fresh blood of innocents,
by bombs of violence sent,
their breasts ceasing to be.
I’ve drunk the brown “Cruel” stain,
when ruin blasts my town,
by furniture’s renown,
a villain’s proud disdain.
I’ve worn the blond robe’s hue,
in this age void of heart,
that with its mighty art,
creates but more ado.
I’ve wielded lightning white,
with quill of my own hand,
with slashing, swift command,
for justice and for right.
